Congratulations to NSHS senior Blaire McClure. McClure earned a finalists spot at the prestigious American Association of Teachers of French Language North Texas competition recently.
McClure, one of four finalists in the competition, is considered one of the best Level 5 French Language students in North Texas. Approximately 640 French language students in North Texas competed at the event. Additionally, McClure earned First Place in several essay categories at the competition.
As one of four finalists, McClure will be interviewed by a French Embassy official later this month. The interview is part of the competitive process. The winner of the competition will receive an all-expense paid trip to Perpignan, France as a guest of the French Government. At Perpignan, near Marseille on the Mediterranean, the winner will study French language and culture for the month of July as a guest of the French Government. McClure is taught by David Hardy.
