To better prepare Ranchview High School students for their prom on May 17th, Lillian Muniz with Nationwide Insurance, parent of an RHS student, sponsored the Sober Prom Event at the school on Friday, May 16th. A wrecked car with several story boards acquired from MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) was parked out front of Ranchview for classes to tour during the school day. Ms. Muniz  visited with students during lunchtime and provided additional information about choosing sober driving, teen passengers and teen auto fatalities. In addition, two Irving police officers visited with students during lunch periods and used the “drunk goggles” to imitate the difficulties of passing a sobriety test under the influence and shared stories of Irving fatality accidents involving drunk drivers.
