Over the MLK weekend Creekview Speech competed at the 23rd annual James Logan High School-Martin Luther King National Speech Invitational. There were 88 schools from across the country.
Sean Kennedy (sophomore) took 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation out of a field of 123 competitors. Natalie Walker (senior) took 2nd place in Original Oratory out of the 149 contestants competing and Maria Lozano (senior) placed 7th in Humorous Interpretation with 104 in the event. The 3 other students from Creekview advanced to the top 12 in their respective events.
Coach Robert Shepard received the tournament’s service award for commitment and service to the speech community nationwide.
