On May 26, members of the Newman Smith High School Speech Team competed in the Lincoln Douglas Debate competition at the UIL Speech and Debate State Championship Tournament. Trojan debater, Sarah Grace Withers, reached the semifinals of the State Tournament with a 14-1 record in UIL competition. Withers took 3rd place in the Lincoln Douglas Debate. [...]
