2019 CFBISD National Merit Semifinalists Announced
The Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD is proud to announce the semifinalists in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship program.
National Merit Semifinalists for 2019:
- Kelley C. Bronder, Newman Smith
- Kaushik Jampala, Newman Smith
- Ronald W. Bonitatibus, R. L. Turner
- Isaac Chawdhury, R. L. Turner
- Kaava Maddipudi, R. L. Turner
These students are among 16,000 high school seniors who will continue in the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s competition for 7,500 merit scholarship awards worth $32 million that will be offered in the spring, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Students are selected based on performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. National Merit Scholarship Corporation reports that the pool of semifinalists represents less than one percent of the top high school seniors in the nation.
