On Feb. 23, R. L. Turner lion David Portillo competed at the Centennial Powerlifting Championship at Centennial High School. Portillo took 1st place with a total of 1345 points, qualifying him for the Regional Powerlifting Meet on Mar. 2 in Everman, TX. Portillo is currently ranked 5th regionally.
