Friday Lunch Schedule for Visitors
We have been blessed to have so many visitors for lunch; however, we have a limited amount of space in our cafeteria. In order to have adequate space for all visitors, we have designated specific
Fridays in which visitors are allowed for lunch based on student last name.
Example: If a student’s last name in TEAMS is Montenegro-Hernandez, visitors are permitted on the M-Z dates.
September 7: Fall Picture Day – No Visitors
September 14: Student Last Name A-L
September 21: Student Last Name M-Z
September 28: Student Last Name A-L
Parent Orientation Night
Parent Orientation night is a very important time for parents to receive crucial information on how to ensure that your child is successful at Farmers Branch Elementary.
Due to the nature of the meeting, we would like to request that only adults and parents attend this meeting. This is a meeting in which parents need to be able to listen carefully and ask questions of their child’s teacher.
At all other school events, we want the children to attend, and we welcome their presence.

New Nurse for 2018-2019
We are excited to announce that we have a new school nurse at Farmers Branch Elementary. Her name is Mrs. Margaret Eck, and we are so glad to have her join the Farmers Branch Elementary family!
When you see Nurse Margaret please welcome her to the BEST elementary school, Farmers Branch Elementary!
Early Dismissals
Students will not be released from 2:30—2:55 p.m. If you have any questions, please ask the front office.
Morning Procedures
7:00 A.M. – Front Doors Open. Students may eat breakfast, or they may wait in the gym.
7:30 A.M. – Students Walk to Classrooms. Teachers begin daily routines and instruction at this time. For this reason, it is best to ensure that your child arrives by 7:30 a.m.
Develop a Homework Routine
- Check that assignments are being written in agenda
- Remind your child to be sure he/she has all the materials to complete the homework.
- Give a 30-minute break when he/she gets home
- Select a homework area with the fewest distractions.
- Tell your child to check off each assignment when finished and put it in the homework folder. You will sign the agenda when all the work is complete.
- Remind your child to place the packed backpack in a designated spot before bedtime each night.
- Reward your child with 30 minutes of fun time for completing all the homework.
