Open House – Thursday, March 1

You are invited to join us for Open House this Thursday. You will be able to visit your child’s classroom and see some of the great things going on at Riverchase. Your children will be super excited to see you in their classrooms. Make plans to start your day with us!

7:45-9:00 A.M. – Kindergarten – 5th Grade

7:45 – 8:30 A.M. – Pre-K/PPCD AM Classes

12:00 – 12:45 P.M. – Pre-K/PPCD PM Classes

National Read Across America Day

This FridayMarch 2, Riverchase is celebrating National Read Across America Day.

  • Students will be allowed to dress up as their favorite book character. You will receive a flyer with more information in Tuesday folders.
  • Students will receive a special bookmark.
  • We have a few volunteers to read to classes. Contact our librarian, Mrs. Biery (bieryg@cfbisd.edu), if you would like to volunteer to read. Any volunteer for this event must already have a completed background check.
  • We will Drop Everything and Read from 2:00-2:30.

Contact your child’s teacher for more information.

Yearbooks for Sale!

Our PTA is selling 2017-18 Yearbooks for $25! You can visit www.balfour.com for more information. The deadline for online orders is April 15. Order your child’s precious memories today.

In-N-Out Burger Cookout Fundraiser

The In-N-Out Cookout Trailer will be coming to Riverchase on March 20! Tickets are $5 each. The trailer will be parked in our front lot from 5:30-6:30 before Family Math and Science Night begins. Seventy-five percent of ticket sales will benefit the school. The remaining twenty-five percent will help abused children. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event and will be available during Open House this week.

Family Math & Science Night with Perot Museum

The Perot (TECH) Truck is coming to Riverchase! The TECH truck engages K-5 grade students in hands-on, maker-based science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) experiences that foster creativity and confidence. This FREE family event takes place from 6-8 PM on March 20. Volunteers are needed to make this an amazing event for our students. You can sign up to volunteer at Open House or email me directly to let me know you are interested.

Riverchase Gives Back

Jump Rope for Heart – Riverchase students raised nearly $1500 for this year’s Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser Campaign!Coin Wars– In just one week, students were able to raise $225 in support of Kacie’s Run!

Our PreK students raised the most money with a total of $80.87!

Thank you for your support as we teach our children about the importance of giving back to help our community. A huge thank you goes out to Coach Jackson for organizing the JRFH fundraiser and Mrs. Gay for coordinating the Coin Wars for Kacie’s Run!
