Family Valentine’s Dance
Our Family Valentine’s Dance is coming up in just 2 weeks! Families of K-5th grade students are invited to come out and enjoy a night of dancing and good family fun. You can dress up or wear one of your favorite outfits. We’ll have a photo booth and sweet treats. Tickets are only $5 for a family of 4 or less. Additional family members may purchase tickets for $2. You may purchase tickets in the office on or before February 14. This is a family event. Students must have an adult present. Students cannot be dropped off and picked up after the event.
Free Dress Friday
Tomorrow is Free Dress Friday! For $2 your child can wear what they choose as long as it follows district and campus dress code guidelines.
Exciting News
Riverchase will be the home of one of the district’s Signature Programs next school year… Spark – STEM Academy at Riverchase Elementary. We are very excited about this opportunity to engage our students in collaborative and project-based learning that will encourage curiosity, communication, and critical thinking through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
In addition to the STEM Academy for K-5th grade students, we will also offer full day Pre-K with an option to pay if your child doesn’t meet federal guidelines for admission. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

New Parent Campus Tours
Are you planning to enroll your child in the Spark – STEM Academy at Riverchase Elementary next school year?
Come out and meet the principal, tour the campus, and learn about our program on the following dates:
Feb. 2, 9, & 23 from 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
Feb. 16 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Kindergarten Round-Up
February 8 at 6 p.m.

Progress Reports
Progress Reports for the 3rd Nine Weeks will go home on February 14. Students are encouraged to wear college t-shirts with their uniform bottoms.
Please review your child’s progress and help them to identify their strengths and areas for growth. This is a great time for you to help them set goals for the remainder of the nine weeks. Email your child’s teacher if you have questions or if you would like to schedule a conference to discuss ways you can help your child at home.

This coming Wednesday, Feb. 7, Barbara Bush Middle School is hosting a great night of science and technology hands on activities! Come see the Wind Tunnel and shoot some rockets with the Perot Tech Truck! Come to the Makerspace and build circuits or drive our Spheros through a maze! Show your families what you learn with your Chromebooks!
Bring your parents! Bring your siblings! Bring your aunts, cousins and everyone to our Family STEM night! Anytime between 5 and 7 p.m next Wednesday night! See you there!
