Smith Debaters Place at Naaman Forest
While competing at the Naaman Forest Debate Tournament, Smith Debaters Place despite having over 50 competitors. The Newman Smith High School Debate team competed Oct. 20-21. Elizabeth Ghil won 3rd place in Lincoln Douglas Debate out of 51 students in the event. This earned her 6 of the 12 points required to qualify for TFA State Championship tournament. Additionally, Heewon Huh and Hannah Smith were both Semi-finalists of Impromptu Speaking.
NSHS Debate will compete again at Hebron on Nov. 3-4.
